Process Explained

  • We begin by understanding the project's requirements, client objectives, and constraints. This phase involves site analysis, stakeholder consultation, and setting the project’s vision and goals. Brand requirements are critical at this stage, as we seek to understand not only the client’s thinking but also any potential occupiers of the space and their vision for the project.

  • We believe the spatial journey contributes to the narrative and enhances the user experience. Our approach is holistic and multifaceted, considering both the experiences of visitors and the well-being of the people who work in these spaces. We understand the dynamics of front-of-house and back-of-house areas, prioritising operational efficiencies where required to support staff.

  • In this creative phase, we explore ideas and develop initial concepts that align with the client's vision. Our approach is narrative-driven, focusing on the story behind the design, guided by the people who will use the space, the character of the place, and the brand's identity. We consider space planning, mood, materiality, and other key elements to ensure a cohesive and compelling design direction.

  • This phase focuses on refining the concept into detailed plans, specifications, and schedules. In conjunction with the client and consultants, we work through the technical and coordination aspects of the design, ensuring every aspect is considered, including ESD, supply chain, budget, and program. Coordination of graphics, way-finding, lighting, and technology are pivotal in this phase.

  • We prepare comprehensive detailed documentation for tender and construction. This includes drawings, schedules, and specifications that guide the construction process, ensuring the project is executed accurately and to the highest quality.

  • We oversee the construction process, working closely with contractors and consultants to ensure the design is faithfully executed. We manage any challenges that arise, keeping the project on track.

  • The final phase includes inspections, a defects list, and the handover of the completed project to the client. We ensure that every aspect of the design has been realized and that the client is fully satisfied.
